Welcome to The Story of Gallina.

How does one finally show the world the characters that have been evolving in one’s mind for over 30 years?

In my case, it’s take all the pieces and present it this way.

The story I’ve been trying to finish in one form or another since I was a kid is written in first person, so I decided make this blog written from the main character’s perspective.  Her name is Henriette, but she prefers Gallina.  She’s a Gen Xer living in fictionalized Southern California.  Her story is a series of memoirs and the occasional blog post. The “Characters” section introduces all of the people who will crop up in the story quite a bit, in Gallina’s words.

Non-traditional notions of love are seen as normal.  I guess you can say that’s what makes it fiction.  This is not to say traditional notions of love aren’t valid.  They just take a non-dominant role when it comes to the relationship structures of my characters.

I can’t stress enough that this is fiction.  I made all of this up.  None of it is true.   These people do not nor ever have existed in corporeal form.  Though I’d dig a SoCal with that much public transportation and without a pandemic.

With that, I hope you enjoy it.
